    NAVIGATION TIP:

Use the Firefox browser with the CoolPreview add on. CoolPreview will give a magnifying glass icon at every link when you put your cursor on the link. Click on the icon and it will open a separate, smaller window with the definition of the term in it. You can either lock the window by clicking the padlock icon in the top bar of the little window, or move your cursor off the window and it will automatically close. This is almost as good as mouseovers.

    Hi, Patt,

... As for the Glossary, it's beautifully made. Very well done, with painstaking attention to detail.

    Warmest regards,

    Hi Patt,

Sure, I'd love a link. Thanks!

I am always amazed at your work. I've been studying Andean cosmology, mostly experientially, for 15 years of so, and just now feel I am really integrating ways of being and thinking. So your vast range of knowledge and detailed understanding of concepts blows me away! Isn't it great we all have our own gifts!

I'm glad I helped start a new thread of inquiry for you. Really, when you think about ayni & yanantin, with the depth and breadth of their applications in Andean life, the relativistic business is not surprising. Combined with the three worlds, and the light of creation, nuances are endless. I am just reading Jorge Luis Delgado's "Andean Awakening," where he says (speaking of some carvings at Cutimbo, "...the transcendental meaning...is that by following the pathway of your power, and by balancing your own feminine and masculine energy, you can go through any obstacle, even physical walls."' (103)

Also,  in a belief system where everything comes from the light, and density of vibration is "read" for levels of reality or frequency, the interrelationship of all the living energies has a complexity we have to work hard to grasp (leaving behind our newtonian & material-based views of reality is a challenge!)

    Blessings,

    Meg B.

    Hi,

I recently was sent your glossary of Incan Shamanic Glossary. I was taught by Don Manuel Quisspe the Shamanic ways of the Incan Quechua. It was very hard to receive the glossary you have put together. My question to you as well as respect for all you have done. Do you have a glossary that can be purchased?

    I would be very interested.

    Sharon M.

The glossary is not for sale. It is free and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Nor are there plans for a hard copy version because the publishing expense is prohibitive and I could not sell it to recover the cost. I had originally hoped to involve one of the indigenous teachers in the project and sell the glossary through a non-profit corporation, using the proceeds to benefit the people of the Andes via a micro-bank. Sadly, that has not worked out. -- Patt

I just heard a really interesting idea about Quechua that explains a lot of confusion I've expereinced over the years, especially from different teachers giving varying meanings to words. That is, that it is a language of context: a word that means one thing in one context can mean something totally different depending on the gender of the speaker, and the situation. You may know this, but I didn't notice it as I scanned your intro. Just a little seed of ayni for you in appreciation of all the work you've done for all of us.

    Munay,

First, I wanted to write and tell you that your Inca Shaman Glossary is out of this world!!! So useful, so helpful, so needed. I wish I had access to it while I was in the process of learning the medicine wheel...but, we are always learning, aren't we. So thank you for helping us all to do so with ease!

Second, I went to your blog to access your email and happened upon your article about "creating at the top of your voice". I love it!!! I wondered if you would allow me to post it on my website for others to read (with your name credit, of course). Feel free to take a look at my site and see what it's all about. I'm in the process of re-designing, so the entire site is not functional at this time. The site is devoted to birthing the spirit, so I think your article would fit in quite nicely. Let me know your thoughts. Here is my site: www.parentsoflight.com

    Thank you! Much Munay,

I am stunned at the beauty of this body of work.  I have only spent a short time with it to this point but  feel it will take me the rest of my life to fully encompass the work.  I will be sending it to all of my students, past and present.  I can't find the words to thank you for your sacrifice of time and your generosity of spirit.

Congratulations! It looks wonderful, a source of much learning & perusal and connection, as you said. I'll certainly send links out to mailing lists!!!

Mostly, I look forward to learning and deepening my understanding.

Do you know the Yahoo groups salkawaikis and  wisdom of the andes? Many members are andean seekers and will appreciate a link, which I will post.

    Many blessings on your work,
